From standing up to body shamers to following her heart by becoming Channing Tatum’s controversial new girlfriend, Jessie J is probably one of the most honest and open celebrities.

Now, the “Domino” singer has revealed she’s had to make changes in her life since finding out she can’t conceive children.

In an interview with the Heart Breakfast radio podcast, Jessie J explained that despite being told in 2014 that she’s infertile, she’s adjusted her diet and lifestyle in hopes she might be able to have children one day.

“I’ve always been someone that’s open and honest,” the 31-year-old said. “Four, four-and-a-half, five years ago, I was diagnosed with this disease, which is making it harder. I was told I can’t have children, but I don’t believe it. I believe in miracles. I haven’t given up.”

“Over the last four years, I’ve changed my diet,” she continued. “I changed the way I live, I’ve done a lot of self-work. I am still in the process of it.”

The singer first opened up about her fertility struggles to the public during a 2018 concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Jessie J followed her emotional speech by singing “Four Letter Word” from her most recent album R.O.S.E, which talks about wanting to become a mother.

“I don’t tell you guys for sympathy because I’m one of millions of women and men that have gone through this and will go through this,” Jessie J said at the time. “It can’t be something that defines us but I wanted to write this song for myself in my moment of pain and sadness but also to give myself joy, to give other people something that they can listen to in that moment when it gets really hard.”

“So if you’ve ever experienced anything with this or have seen somebody go through it or have lost a child, then please know you’re not alone in your pain and I’m thinking of you when I sing this song,” she added.

Although she hasn’t disclosed the details about the changes she’s made or the disease that has caused her infertility, she sure has made it clear to the public that she truly wants to be a mother one day in the future.

“When I turned 25, something changed in me. I see children in my future 100 percent,” she told Marie Claire in 2013.

So, does this mean Jessie J and Channing Tatum (who have been dating since October 2018) are discussing the possibility of tying the knot and having children together? It’s the same question that’s on everyone’s mind, but the singer stresses that people need to get one thing straight: “Just because he’s Channing Tatum, everyone has kind of like sped this up into, ‘Are you getting married?’”, Jessie J explained.

“I mean I have been in relationships with people longer than Chan, but they’re not famous so no one really cares.”

We might not know anything further about their relationship, but there is one thing we’re sure of: Jessie J will truly be a great mother.
